About

The purpose of Take Care Ministries (TCM) is to glorify God. On April 13, 1997, the vision for TCM was placed in Ora Harris’s heart. At the time, she was attending Trinity International University, studying to become a biblical counselor. The name Take Care Ministries speaks to the goal – to serve by taking care of others as the Lord Jesus Christ leads. We aim to make a difference in the lives of those who are experiencing difficulty. TCM was formally incorporated as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in 2014. Since then, the ministry has helped those who have found themselves in a ‘tight spot’ through no fault of their own with assistance and encouragement.

Our focal Bible verse comes from Luke 10:27-37, the Parable of the Good Samaritan, with emphasis on “love your neighbor as yourself.” This is a model of God’s compassion. Our Father and Creator made a way for us to know Him and to experience His love. He sent His Son, Jesus, to shed His blood and give His life in the place of ours as payment for the sin that separated us from Him. After that was done, He raised Him back to life eternal through the power of His Spirit. The same Spirit is at work in believers to do His will, which includes showing compassion to all people, especially those in need. The Kingdom of God is advanced as we spread the Good News of God’s grace and love through His Son, Jesus Christ. Believe it and receive it!
